OCTC Express Enrollment Week June 18-21

Owensboro, KY (06/18/2018) — Owensboro Community & Technical College is offering students a one-stop enrollment opportunity during the week of June 18. Express Enrollment week is anevent offeringhelp with one-on-one advising regarding enrollment, financial aid, scheduling and other items that prospective students need to complete for the fall semester. Additionally, if a student has not taken a required test, that can be scheduled as well. The goal is to make the enrollment process as simple and fast as possible. Some students will be able to complete the process during their advising session.

"We know many of students and parents are anxious about college, but we want to relieve that anxiety and make the process as easy as possible," said Dr. Scott Williams, OCTC President. "We believe if we can simplify the first step, more students are likely to take advantage of the affordable and career jump starting opportunities OCTC has to offer."

On Wednesday, June 20, WBKR will do a live radio remote broadcast from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in front of the Campus. All students, are welcome to walk in and register for fall classes during Express Enrollment week.

OCTC will host Express Enrollment at the main campus, located at 4800 New Hartford Road, on Monday - Thursdayon June 18-21 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.and on Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Anyone interested in applying and enrolling for the fall semester may schedule apersonalappointment by calling 270-686-4418 or send a request to octc.info@kctcs.edu.

"While we are making a concerted effort for Express Enrollment week, we want to encourage anyone that is ready to visit the START Center on the main campus, we are ready to serve students in this express fashion, right now!" said Kevin Beardmore, OCTC Vice President of Student Affairs. "For those interested in aid, you can apply online at fafsa.ed.gov or bring a copy of yourtax returns and we will have staff to help guide you through the process."
