OCTC Receives $4,000 from the RMP Foundation to Fund Scholarships for Automotive Students

Owensboro, KY (02/14/2018) — The Owensboro Community & Technical College Foundation, Inc. (Foundation) received funding from the RPM Foundation for eight $500 scholarships to award to new students enrolling in Owensboro Community & Technical College's (OCTC) Automotive Technology program.

Dr. Scott Williams, OCTC President commented, "We are humbled to have the opportunity to award these scholarships on behalf of RPM Foundation. Our students will benefit greatly from this support."

RPM Foundation (RPM) is an educational grant-making program of America's Automotive Trust (AAT). RPM is funded by collector vehicle and classic boat enthusiasts to serve youth and young adults on their pathways to careers in automotive/marine restoration & preservation along with long-term interests of the collector vehicle and classic boat communities. The scholarships will be awarded to new students enrolling in the automotive technology program with a preference for students who plan to pursue the Associate in Applied Science degree. Students should be enrolled in six (6) credit hours or more during the fall 2018 semester. The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, or books.
