OCTC Vet Tech Program Hosting Event for Harrison College Students

by Bernie Hale

Owensboro, KY (09/21/2018) — Owensboro Community & Technical College is hosting an event for Harrison College students in the Veterinary Technology program. The Harrison College students have been displaced due to the sudden closing of Harrison College.

Students that were enrolled in Harrison's vet tech program are invited to attend an informational Meeting on Wednesday, September 26 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. The event will be held at OCTC's Downtown Campus located at 1501 Frederica Street, Owensboro.

"These are students that through no fault of their own have found themselves in a position with limited opportunity to complete their degree. We are excited to meet with them and see if we can assist" commented Dr. Scott Williams, OCTC President.

OCTC's Veterinary Technology program classrooms and the teaching hospital are located at the Downtown Campus. Interested students should park in the rear parking lot (accessible from 15thor Daviess streets) and enter the building through the double doors. Please meet in classroom DT 30.

In addition to information, students will be able to tour the state-of-the-art teaching hospital. Students will be able to meet with program faculty, current OCTC Vet Tech students, and OCTC admissions staff. If possible, interested students should bring an official transcript, essential skills list, completed course syllabi and a student policy manual. Please RSVP your interest in attending the informational session to jacqueline.siljander@kctcs.edu.
