by Hailey Pickle

Owensboro, KY (02/18/2026) — Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) will host two upcoming TechX (Technician Express) information sessions for individuals interested in fast-track training for high-demand manufacturing and industrial careers.

The sessions will be held on March 3 at 5:30 p.m. and April 28 at 5:30 p.m. in the Industry Innovation Center (IIC) Lobby on OCTC's main campus, located at 4800 New Hartford Rd.

TechX is an accelerated training program designed to help students earn industry-recognized credentials in as little as two semesters through hands-on, industry-driven instruction. Participants train with experienced instructors while building practical technical skills aligned with workforce needs.

The program offers an employer-driven evening track that allows many students to continue working while completing their training. Credentials earned through TechX may also be stacked toward an Associate in Applied Science degree.

During the information sessions, attendees will learn about program structure, scheduling, credential opportunities, degree pathways, and available support services.

The TechX Info Sessions are open to current and prospective students, as well as community members interested in exploring career advancement opportunities in advanced manufacturing.
