Fall 2019 OCTC Student Art Exhibition Awards
Owensboro, KY (12/16/2019) — Owensboro Community & Technical College art students participated in the college's Fall 2019 Student Art Exhibition. The culmination of the exhibit is the student awards, including Merit and Purchase awards. Larry Simpson served as juror for the exhibit.
Molly Eckstein earned a first place and a second place Merit Award in ceramics, for Tribal Vessel, and for Hieroglyphics respecitvely. J.C. White earned a third place Merit Award for his sculpture, Jonathan Tree.
The winning Purchase Award pieces become a part of OCTC's permanent collection. J. C. White, earned a first place Purchase Award for his oil painting, Norfolk Nocturne. Felice Finch, earned a second place Purchase Award in ceramics, for her piece entitled, Babylon. Eli Austin, earned a third place Purchase Award for his charcoal, Castle of Assortment.
