German American Food Drive supports OCTC Pathfinder Pantry

Owensboro, KY (10/24/2019) — Local branches of German American Bank donated over 300 items to Owensboro Community and Technical College's (OCTC) Pathfinder Pantry. Items were collected during the bank's Customer Appreciation celebration the week of October 7-11.

Bank representatives delivered the donations to the college and had the opportunity to visit the food pantry and the Pathfinder Den, OCTC's student success center. Dr. Andrea Borregard, Dean of Student Affairs, spoke about the college's wraparound student services and the role the food pantry plays in potentially alleviating food insecurity for OCTC's students.

"We heard about OCTC's Food Pantry and our team decided we wanted to contribute. We are excited to have the opportunity to give back to our community," said Amy Jackson, German American Bank Regional President.

More than 30 students have made over 70 trips to the pantry since September.
