Owensboro, KY (05/16/2022) — Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) held its Commencement Ceremonies on Wednesday, May 11, and Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the RiverPark Center. The college awarded 1,487 credentials to 615 graduates over the two-day event. Credential highlights, 404 associate degrees, 1,012 certificates, and 71 diplomas. The Discover College-Early College program graduated 80 high school students who attended OCTC as full-time college student graduating with associate degrees.

The OCTC Outstanding Program Student Awards are exemplary students nominated by faculty in the program area and included: Air Conditioning-Aaron Owen, Biology- Emma Sanchez, Chemistry-Esha Patel, Communications-Kayla Lind Mohon, Computer & Information Technologies-Macey Small, Computerized Manufacturing & Machining-Samuel Ling, Criminal Justice-Jenna Faucheux, Education-Grace Howard, Electrical Technology- Dalton Porter, Industrial Maintenance Technology-Adam Clark, Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education-Patricia Jean Snyder, Mathematics-Kayla Lind Mohon, Nursing-Brittany Campbell, Radiography-Lacy Rojewski, Surgical Technology-Lana Eastwood, Tech X-Daniel Allen, Veterinary Technology-Madalyn Sanders, and Welding Technology-Kobe Mattingly.

Additional program awards for exemplary students are selected based on individual criteria and included: Bracco Radiography Award-Kasey Noffsinger, Experiential Learning Center-Jennifer Morris, Pre-Employment Transition Program-Madison(Gabby)Smith, TRiO Award-Amethyst Long.

OCTC Honors Graduates are denoted with a single asterisk as a *Graduate with Distinction, earning at least 45 credit hours (for a degree) or 30 credit hours (for a diploma) at a KCTCS college, earning a GPA of 3.4-3.59 on all work attempted; or a double asterisk as a **Graduate with High Distinction, earning at least 45 credit hours (for a degree) or 30 credit hours (for a diploma) at a KCTCS college, earning a GPA of 3.6 or higher on all work attempted.
