OCTC announces plans for summer and fall terms

Owensboro, KY (05/05/2020) — Beginning August 17, fall classes at Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC) will be offered in a variety of formats (barring any further disruption from the pandemic).

OCTC will offer fully online classes as well as face-to-face classes and some options that are a mixture of both for the Fall 2020 semester. Face-to-face classes will have a strong online or remote instruction part, so if in-person classes must move online for a while, the transition will be easier for students. The college will also offer a variety of scheduling options, including 16-week and 8-week sessions.

OCTC is developing plans to meet physical distancing and health requirements for in person delivery and strengthening virtual student support for online and remote classes.

Summer classes at OCTC will begin soon and are available in an online-only format, with a few hands-on classes with labs and clinicals tentatively scheduled for July, if Gov. Beshear's timelines for facility use allows. Students and prospective students can enroll online at Owensboro.kctcs.edu or call 270-686-4400 for more information.

OCTC will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and follow the governor's guidelines regarding higher education for the fall term. To see a complete course schedule please visit Owensboro.kctcs.edu and select Summer and Fall Classes.
