OCTC Chorus Presents Holiday Concert

Owensboro, KY (11/27/2023) — The Owensboro Community and Technical College Chorus (OCTC), under the direction of Dr. Connie Ford, Professor of Music, and accompanied by pianist Anna Sparks, will perform a Christmas concert at First Christian Church on Monday, Dec. 4 at 7:00 p.m. Featured composers of the 20th and 21st century programmed works, which cover a wide variety of styles, include Ralph Johnson, Robert Cohen, Kyle Pederson, Connor Koppin, Elain Hagenberg, Stephen Paulus, John Rutter, Morton Lauridsen, Carl Schalk, Norman Luboff, and Shawn Kirchner. Featured instrumentalists will be Kirsten Ahnell on clarinet, Lacy Jean on violin, Robert Meacham on string bass, and Clayton Manire on wind chimes. The forty-voice chorus has presented fall and spring concerts since the spring of 1987.
