OCTC Community Chorus Presents Spring 2025 Concert

Owensboro, KY (04/28/2025) — The Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC) Community Chorus will present its annual Spring Concert on Monday, May 5 at 7:00 p.m. at First Christian Church (700 JR Miller Blvd. Owensboro, KY). Under the direction of Dr. Connie Ford, Professor of Music, and accompanied by accomplished pianist Anna Sparks, the forty-eight-member ensemble will perform a diverse program that highlights celebrated choral works by 20th and 21st century composers.
This season's repertoire explores a rich variety of modern choral styles, featuring pieces by Knut Nystedt, Edwin Ferguson, Stephen Paulus, Allister MacGillivray, Daniel Gawthrop, Eric Whitacre, and Aaron Copland. The performance will also showcase Meggan Clark as the evening's featured instrumentalist on oboe.
Founded in 1987, the OCTC Chorus has a long-standing tradition of community engagement and musical excellence. The spring concert offers an opportunity for audiences to experience the powerful harmony and heartfelt artistry that the group brings to each performance.
