OCTC Foundation Hosting 5th Annual Donor Celebration
Thurs., Nov. 4, 4-6 p.m.
Owensboro, KY (11/02/2021) — The Owensboro Community & Technical College Foundation Inc., will host the 5th Annual Donor Celebration on Thursday, November 4, 2021 beginning at 4 p.m., kicking off the 35th Anniversary of Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC). The event will be held at OCTC's Main Campus in the Industry Innovation Center. The celebration will honor the 258 businesses, groups, and individuals that have supported the college and the Foundation through donations, grants, and scholarships during 2020-2021. For attendees who prefer a remote option, the event will also be livestreamed on the OCTC Facebook page.
Dr. Scott Williams, OCTC President commented, "All gifts to OCTC are critical to student success and are greatly appreciated. The gift of an education, be it through a scholarship, or an equipment donation, is truly the gift that keeps on giving. It will be more a casual and hopefully entertaining affair for those that attend in person or online".
The event is sponsored in partnership with German American Bank. Kyle Aud, Market President added "German American is very supportive of higher education and values what OCTC brings to the people in, and around, our community. We wanted to also show our appreciation to the donors by sponsoring this event and look forward to thanking them in person on November 4th."
The Cornerstone Club, honoring the top donors for 2021, include: Kentucky BioProcessing, Mike Horn, City of Owensboro, Daviess County Fiscal Court, J.
