OCTC Hosting Pathfinder Day & Saturday Registration

Friday, August 8 and Saturday, August 16

Owensboro, KY (08/04/2025) — Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) is hosting Pathfinder Day(orientation) for new, readmitted, and transfer students on Friday, August 8. Check-in is at 8:30 a.m. for those with last names beginning with A-J, and at 10:30 a.m. for those students with last names beginning with K-Z.

The event will be held at OCTC's Main Campus, at 4800 New Hartford Road, Owensboro. Check-in will be held in the Advanced Technology Center.

Students will receive a Pathfinder Day Guide to select the options that best suit their needs. Faculty and staff will be on hand to help answer questions.

In addition OCTC will hold special Saturday registration hours from 9 a.m. - 12 noon on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Many students will be able to apply and register on the same day. The Financial Aid Office, Accessibility Services, and the OCTC Bookstore will also be open during these hours in the Campus Center. Classes begin on Monday, August 18.

Dr. Ashleigh Crowe, Vice President of Student Affairs, commented, "It really isn't too late to get started this semester. Our staff are here and ready to help students through the process."

Registration will remain open through Wednesday, August 20. Interested students may also apply online by visiting www.owensboro.kctcs.edu and selecting "APPLY" or drop by the main campus at 4800 New Hartford Road, Owensboro, and visit the START Center located in the upper level of the Campus Center. The START Center office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. OCTC is here to help you get started on your path to success.
