OCTC Hosts Scrub Craze for Adult Learners

Owensboro, KY (03/28/2019) — Do you want to help save lives? Do you thrive in high stress situations? A career in Surgical Technology may be for you! Surgical technologists are healthcare professionals who work in operating rooms and out patient centers assisting surgeons during procedures. Attention to detail and a complete understanding of sterile techniques are essential to be successful in this selective admissions program.
Interested adult students can give it a try on Friday April 12, or Friday, April 19 at Scrub Craze. Scrub Craze is a day long, hands on experience created to immerse prospective students in the daily activities of a Surgical Technologist. Scrub Craze is being held in conjunction with the Surgical Technology program's pre-admission conference, one of the requirements for acceptance into the program. Space at Scrub Craze is limited so reserve your spot today.
Interested high school students can check on space available at their event through their high school counselor or by contacting Zara Basham. To reserve your spot or for more information about the surgical technology program please contact program coordinator, Zara Basham at zara.basham@kctcs.edu.
