OCTC Main Campus Site for COVID Testing in Owensboro

Owensboro, KY (04/23/2020) — Owensboro Community and Technical College has been selected as a site for drive-thru COVID-19 testing next week on the Main Campus, at 4800 New Hartford Road, Owensboro, emergency management officials and Governor Beshear made the announcement on Wednesday, April 23, 2020. The testing sites are in partnership with Kroger Health.

The site is scheduled to be open on Tuesday - Thursday, April 28 - 30 from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. daily. The testing is done free of charge and results are expected in approximately 48 hours. Officials are requesting that participants enter OCTC's Main Campus from the Deer Park entrance on HWY 231, across from Deer Park Elementary School. "We are happy to be able to serve our community by allowing the use of our Main Campus and play a small part in keeping our community safe and help to deter the spread of this pandemic" added Dr. Scott Williams, OCTC President.

Gov. Beshear said one key to restarting business activity and paving the way back to more normal activities is widespread testing. In a move toward that goal, Gov. Beshear announced an expansion of the state's partnership with Kroger to provide drive-through testing for the coronavirus.

"Kroger is committed to expanding our drive-through testing sites in other locations to provide this vital need to increase the health and wellness directly in our communities," said Meegan Brown, National Health and Wellness TLC Director of Kroger Health.
