OCTC's December Graduates

Owensboro, KY (12/16/2022) — Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) held its Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the RiverPark Center. The college awarded 879 credentials to 378 graduates. The credentials awarded included 238 associate degrees, 596 certificates, and 45 diplomas.

OCTC Honors Graduates are denoted with a single asterisk as a *Graduate with Distinction, earning at least 45 credit hours (for a degree) or 30 credit hours (for a diploma) at a KCTCS college, earning a GPA of 3.4-3.59 on all work attempted; or a double asterisk as a **Graduate with High Distinction, earning at least 45 credit hours (for a degree) or 30 credit hours (for a diploma) at a KCTCS college, earning a GPA of 3.6 or higher on all work attempted.

The OCTC Outstanding Student Awards are exemplary students nominated by faculty in the program area and included: Chemistry-Hope Elizabeth Digiorgio, Education-Madalyn Howard, History-Phillip E. Wallace, History - Jeffrey Thomas Lyons, Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education-Abbey Rose Thompson, Mathematics-Kayley Payne, Tech X-Dalton English. Additional awards for exemplary students are selected based on individual criteria and include the TRiO Award-Alex Woodruff.
