OCTC's KOOL Academy Participants

Owensboro, KY (05/31/2019) — Three Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) employees participated in a statewide KCTCS KOOL Academy: Assistant Professor Jacqueline Siljander in the Veterinary Technology program (KOOL Academy Faculty), Instructor Julie Embry coordinator of the Medical Information Technology and Administrative Office Technology programs (KOOL Academy Faculty), and Training and Professional Development Specialist, Lorraine Sturgeon (KOOL Academy Instructional Expert), attended a week long retreat at Jenny Wiley State Park. The KOOL Academy is a year-long teaching and learning experience designed to pair faculty with Instructional Experts in order to review, revise, and redesign online courses to meet Blackboard's Exemplary Course program standards.
