Andrew says his learning experience at OCTC has been enjoyable and the skills he has learned in the classroom will help him with his future career goals. He credits Engineering/Electronics Technology Program Coordinator, Rich Hall, as an instructor that made learning fun and helped him to develop his skills as a future electrician.

Kara McFadyen is a current home school student that will earn her high school diploma this spring. She is on track to earn an Associate in Applied Science degree in Electrical Technology next fall. Upon completion of her degree, she plans to continue her education to support her dream of becoming an engineer in the biotechnology field. She is grateful to be awarded the SCOAR scholarship, as it will help her in her pursuit of her career goals. Kara credits Electrical Technology Program Coordinator Justin Payne for the dedication and support he has shown in her academic journey.

The SCOAR Scholarship Program is a public/private partnership between the construction industry and the Southeastern Construction Owners and Associates Roundtable (SCOAR).
