OCTC to Host Program Fair for High School Students

Thursday, March 5, 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m., Industry Innovation Center, OCTC Main Campus

Owensboro, KY (02/24/2026) — Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) will host its upcoming Program Fair, an event designed specifically for high school students in grades 10-12 who are beginning to explore college and career options. The fair will take place on OCTC's Main Campus at 4800 New Hartford Road in Owensboro, KY (42303) in the Industry Innovation Center on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The Program Fair gives students the opportunity to connect directly with OCTC faculty and staff and learn more about academic and technical programs that lead to high-demand careers. Attendees can visit with program coordinators representing a wide range of fields, ask questions about coursework and career pathways, and gain insight into what it's like to be a college student.

In addition to exploring programs of study, students will have access to key student support areas, including admissions, financial aid, career services, counseling, and academic advising. Representatives from these areas will be available to answer questions about the application process, scholarships and grants, career planning, and student resources.

Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by completing the online form at https://forms.office.com/r/SSKKW8TNgH.

To make the most of the Program Fair experience, students are encouraged to complete OCTC's completely free Career Coach online assessment prior to attending. The assessment, available at https://owensboro.kctcs.edu/education-training/career-coaching/index.aspx, helps students identify potential career paths based on their interests and strengths and connects those results directly to OCTC programs that can prepare them for those careers. Students may choose from a 6-question, 30-question, or 60-question version, depending on how in-depth they would like their results to be.

"The Program Fair is a great way for students to start thinking about their future in a hands-on, engaging environment," said OCTC START Center Director, Courtney Duvall. "We want students to feel informed, confident, and excited about their next steps after high school."
