Owensboro, KY (08/12/2026) — Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) will host Veterinary Technology Program Preadmission Conferences on Tuesday, September 15, 2026; Tuesday, January 26, 2027; and Tuesday, March 23, 2027. All conferences begin at 5:00 p.m. and will be held in the Veterinary Technology Teaching Hospital (Room 23) on OCTC's Downtown Campus, located at 1501 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.

The preadmission conference is a required step for anyone interested in applying to OCTC's Veterinary Technology program. During the session, prospective students will learn about admission requirements, the application process, program curriculum, clinical experiences, and career opportunities available to veterinary technicians.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the Veterinary Technology Teaching Hospital and see firsthand the facilities where students gain hands-on experience in animal nursing care, laboratory procedures, surgical assisting, diagnostic imaging, and other essential veterinary skills.

OCTC's Veterinary Technology program prepares students for careers as licensed veterinary technicians through an Associate in Applied Science degree. Graduates are eligible to take the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE), an important step toward becoming a credentialed veterinary technician.
