Media Advisory: HealthForce Kentucky Panel Discussion & Gender Reveal Event

Owensboro, KY (10/07/2026) — WHAT: HealthForce Kentucky (HFK) will host executive leaders of the American Hospital Association at its Innovation Center in Owensboro, Ky. Mindful of this occurring the same day as the General Election, all of, or portions of, the day are open to media, including a tour of the 35,000-square-foot multimillion-dollar HFK facility; the rare opportunity to attend two American Hospital Association executive-led panel discussions, and participate in a community benefit gender reveal touting the pending arrival of HFK's newest infant-manikin, expected soon after Nov. 3.

Panel discussions will be led by American Hospital Association (AHA) Chief Physician Executive Chris DeRienzo, M.D., who also serves as the organization's not-for-profit Health Research and Education Trust's president. Dr. DeRienzo will lead a discussion titled Beyond Concept: Behavioral Health in All Healthcare Settings. Kristin Preihs, vice president of the organization's Health Research and Education Trust, will lead a discussion titled Medical Simulation Meets Real World: Reimagining Simulation to Transform Medical Settings. HFK President and CEO Bruce Williams will moderate both discussions.

The manikin gender reveal will celebrate the addition of a new teaching tool, an infant that will be used for education and training in newborn care. Attendees of this community benefit are asked to bring items for the Owensboro-based St. Gerard 's Maternal Home of St. Benedict's, a crisis home for pregnant women experiencing homelessness.
