OCTC Chorus Beginning Rehersals for Holiday Concert
Community Singers Welcome
Owensboro, KY (08/14/2018) — Sing in the Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC) Chorus! Known for its performance of fine choral literature, this community chorus is set to begin rehearsals in preparation for a holiday concert to be held on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018. The seasonal concert literature represents some of the finest 20thand 21stcentury choral composers.
Interested community members are invited to join rehearsals on Monday, August 27 at 7 p.m. in room H-130, located in the Humanities Building on OCTC's Main Campus at 4800 New Hartford Road. The OCTC Chorus is open to interested singers looking for a vibrant and challenging choral experience.
This community chorus was first organized in the spring of 1987 and continues under the direction of Dr. Connie Ford, Professor of Music and its accompanist, piano instructor Angela Bruce.
The chorus is made up of community members, college students, faculty, and area high school age students. The group has performed with the Owensboro Symphony and in various venues in the Owensboro area. The chorus regularly rehearses on Monday evenings at 7 p.m. Interested singers may contact Ford at 686-4629 or by email at connie.ford@kctcs.edu.
