OCTC Encouraging Participation in Constitution Day Event Hosted Virtually by NKU

Friday, 09/17/2021, 9am-10:15am

by Katie Jones

Owensboro, KY (09/16/2021) — Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC) is happy to encourage community participation in a Constitution Day celebration hosted by Northern Kentucky University (NKU) on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021. Kentucky Secretary of State, Michael Adams will be speaking to a live, in-person (and masked) audience at 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at NKU. This event will be live-streamed.

Students are invited to join the Zoom live-stream on an individual basis or as a class; instructors may project the presentation for their class to attend together. Those attending virtually will have the opportunity to participate in an ice-breaker focused on Constitution trivia and ask questions during the Q & A portion of the event.

OCTC Title III Director and Political Science Instructor, Nicole Ralph shared with the OCTC community, "I am grateful for the invitation from NKU to participate in this Constitution Day celebration! This will be a great opportunity to hear what Secretary Adams has to say about how voting access in Kentucky has been expanded."

Register at https://nku.eventsair.com/shcce/events. After you register, you'll get an email with the Zoom (webinar format) link.

Note: The registration site will ask if you attending in-person or virtually.

If a professor (or a staff advisor, SGA president, or other group host) is registering for a group viewing, one registration is fine.

For more information, please contact Nicole.Ralph@kctcs.edu.
