OCTC Express Enrollment Event July 17-21

Owensboro, KY (07/14/2017) — Owensboro Community & Technical College is again offering students a one-stop enrollment opportunity during the week of July 17. Express Enrollment week is a statewide event for all community and technical colleges to help with one-on-one advising regarding enrollment, financial aid, scheduling and other items that prospective students need to complete for the fall semester. Additionally, if a student has not taken a required test, that can be scheduled as well.

The goal is to make the enrollment process as simple and fast as possible. Some students will be able to complete the process during their advising session. "We know many of students and parents are anxious about college, but we want to relieve that anxiety and make the process as easy as possible," said Dr. Scott Williams, OCTC President. "The event we had in June was very successful, so we wanted to bring it back and give more students the express option."

OCTC will host Express Enrollment at the main campus, located at 4800 New Hartford Road, on Monday - Friday on July 17-21 from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Anyone interested in applying and enrolling for the fall semester may schedule an appointment by calling 270-686-4418 or schedule online by registering at kctcs.edu/express. "While we are making a concerted effort for Express Enrollment week, we want to encourage anyone that is ready to visit the START Center on the main campus, we are ready to serve students in this express fashion, right now!" said Kevin Beardmore, OCTC Vice President of Student Affairs. "For those interested in aid, you can apply online at www.FAFSA.gov or bring a copy of 2015 tax returns and we have staff to help guide you through the process."
