OCTC OFFERS HR CERTIFICATION PREP TRAINING

Thursdays 5:30-8:30 April 11-July 25

Owensboro, KY (03/06/2019) — Owensboro Community and Technical College's Workforce Solutions division will offer an HR Certification Prep class for human resource professionals beginning April 11, 2019. This course is recommended for anyone currently working in a human resources position.

The HR Certification Prep Course offers an in-depth overview of key areas in human resource management. It prepares participants for the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification examinations administered by the Human Resource Certification Institute.

Some of the topics covered will include: mangement, leadership, talent acquisition, professional development, rewarding employees, labor relations, and employee engagement.

The HR Certification Prep Course will meet Thursday evenings from April 11 - July 25 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Classes will be held in Room 8 of Owensboro Community and Technical College's Downtown Campus located at 1501 Frederica Street. The cost is $1,500 per person and includes both print and online curriculum. Some Kentucky companies may qualify for TRAINS funds to help cover some of the cost.
