OCTC's Workforce Solutions Announces 2026 Vibration Certification Training Schedule

Owensboro, KY (03/30/2026) — Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) is now accepting registrations for its 2026 Vibration Certification training programs, designed to equip participants with essential skills in predictive maintenance and vibration analysis. These hands-on courses are open to individuals at all experience levels and are led by a nationally recognized industry expert.

All training sessions will be held at OCTC's Downtown Campus, located at 1501 Frederica Street in Owensboro, Kentucky, and run daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

2026 Training Schedule:

  • Category I - Vibration CertificationMay 4-8, 2026 (36 hours)Registration deadline: April 6, 2026Cost: $1,795 per person
  • Level I - Balance Training June 1-5, 2026 (40 hours)Registration deadline: May 4, 2026Cost: $1,795 per person
  • Category II - Vibration CertificationNovember 9-14, 2026 (42 hours)Registration deadline: October 5, 2026Cost: $2,499 per person

A minimum of 10 participants is required for each training session. Kentucky companies may be eligible for funding assistance through KCTCS-TRAINS.

Participants will benefit from a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training designed to quickly build practical knowledge and skills in vibration analysis.

Expert Instruction

Courses are led by Kevin R. Guy, Senior Field Analyst for Delaware Analysis Services, Inc., and a Certified Category IV Vibration Analyst with more than 44 years of experience in advanced vibration analysis and predictive maintenance. Guy is a former president of C J Analytical Engineering Inc. and has authored more than 80 published works, including books on rotor dynamics, turbomachinery analysis, and balancing of rotating machinery.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University and is a life member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Guy has taught Vibration Institute certification courses (Category I-IV) for over 30 years and has served in multiple leadership roles, including Training Chairman and Board of Directors member.
