OCTC students receive scholarships from Gene Haas Foundation
Owensboro, KY (03/15/2022) — Owensboro Community and Technical College students in the Computerized Manufacturing and Machining program received scholarship funds from the Gene Haas Foundation.
Established in 1999, the Gene Haas Foundation expanded its mission to support the needs of our local community to include support for manufacturing training programs such as the Computerized Manufacturing and Machining program at OCTC. For several years, OCTC students have been awarded scholarships from the Gene Haas Foundation. This scholarship is available to new students majoring in Computerized Manufacturing and Machining at OCTC, and requires students to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
"We are excited to continue this partnership with the Gene Haas Foundation. Their support and generosity are truly making an impact while expanding the opportunity for quality training in Computerized Machining and Manufacturing programming at OCTC", stated Mike Rodgers, OCTC Chief Institutional Officer.
This year's recipients are as follows: Roger Beets III, Jonathan Cox, Jacob Gillim, Toby Johnson, Caleb Mathey, Parker Patterson, Daniel Studer, and Matthew Weaver.
