OCTC Students Win Scrub Bowl

by Bernie Hale

Owensboro, KY (04/27/2018) — The Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) Surgical Technology program students attended the 3rd Annual Kentucky State Assembly Workshop hosted at Elizabethtown Community & Technical College on Friday, April 20, 2018.

About a dozen current surgical technology program students from Kentucky and Indiana competed in the Howard Cup Scrub Bowl, testing their knowledge in all aspects of the field. OCTC students prevailed as the winning team for the second year in a row. The students answered 59/60 questions correctly.

"We could not be prouder of these students and their faculty. To have the students win the Howard Cup in back to back years is a testament to the quality of the program and the level of instruction" commented Scott Williams, OCTC President.
