OCTC to Host Career & Program Fairs

Owensboro, KY (05/14/2021) — To connect current and potential students with educational and career opportunities in our region, Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) is hosting a series of in-person Career & Program Fairs on the Main Campus this summer.

The first two events will be held outside on May 20, 2021, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., and May 27, 2021 from 4 - 6 p.m., on the Main Campus at 4800 New Hartford Road. These two events will feature opportunities related to Business, Computer Information Technology, and Public Service careers. The remaining fairs will be held in June and July and will feature career opportunities related to Healthcare, Manufacturing, Construction, and Transportation.

Faculty and staff will be on hand to help answer questions related to specific programs as well as provide information regarding admissions, financial aid, and community resources offered through OCTC.

Featured employers and community resources include the Kentucky Career Center, 323 Staffing Agency, Owensboro Police Department, Daviess County Detention Center, Daviess County Sheriff's Office, Greater Owensboro Realtor Association, and German American Bank. Participants will have the opportunity to speak with potential employers about open positions and future career opportunities.

All Healthy at OCTC protocols will be in place during the fairs including social distancing. The event will be outside weather permitting, but will be moved inside to ATC 107 if necessary. Masks are required inside all OCTC buildings.
