OCTC Veterinary Technology Preadmission Conference
Owensboro, KY (08/13/2025) — Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) will host a Veterinary Technology Program Preadmission Conference on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. The event will be held at the OCTC Downtown Campus Veterinary Technology Teaching Hospital, located at 1501 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
The conference is a required step for prospective students interested in applying to OCTC's Veterinary Technology program. Attendees will learn about program requirements, the application process, the curriculum, and discuss career opportunities and clinical experiences available to students.
Participants will tour the Veterinary Technology Teaching Hospital, gaining insight into the hands-on training facilities where students develop skills in animal care, laboratory procedures, surgical assisting, and more.
OCTC's Veterinary Technology program trains students for careers as licensed veterinary technicians and awards an Associate in Applied Science degree upon completion. Graduates are eligible to take the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE), which is essential for certification
