OCTC Workforce Solutions to Host Free Lunch & Learn on Balancing Rotating Equipment

Industry expert Kevin Guy to lead hands-on session for maintenance and manufacturing professionals

Owensboro, KY (02/04/2026) — Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) Workforce Solutions will host a free Lunch & Learn event on Tuesday, February 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Industrial Innovation Lab on OCTC's Downtown Campus. The featured topic is Balancing Rotating Equipment, a critical skill area for manufacturing and maintenance professionals.

The session will be led by Kevin Guy of Delaware Analysis Services, Inc. With more than 45 years of experience, Guy is a recognized expert in advanced vibration analysis and predictive maintenance. He serves as a Senior Field Analyst and holds Category IV certification in Vibration Analysis, the highest level of certification in the field.

Participants will gain practical, real-world strategies to improve equipment performance and reliability, including ways to reduce vibration-related wear and tear, boost operational efficiency, lower maintenance costs, extend the life of critical components, promote smoother operation, and create a quieter, safer work environment. This hands-on learning experience is designed for maintenance management, supervisors, and engineers from all knowledge levels, and no prior balancing experience is required.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with peers from across the region while enjoying a complimentary catered lunch.
