OCTC Chorus Presents Holiday Concert
Monday, December 4 @ 7 p.m.
Owensboro, KY (11/27/2023) — The Owensboro Community and Technical College Chorus (OCTC), under the direction of Dr. Connie Ford, Professor of Music, and accompanied by pianist Anna Sparks, will perform a Christmas concert at First Christian Church on Monday, Dec. 4 at 7:00 p.m. Featured composers of the 20th and 21st century programmed works, which cover a wide variety of styles, include Ralph Johnson, Robert Cohen, Kyle Pederson, Connor Koppin, Elain Hagenberg, Stephen Paulus, John Rutter, Morton Lauridsen, Carl Schalk, Norman Luboff, and Shawn Kirchner. Featured instrumentalists will be Kirsten Ahnell on clarinet, Lacy Jean on violin, Robert Meacham on string bass, and Clayton Manire on wind chimes. The forty-voice chorus has presented fall and spring concerts since the spring of 1987.
Scheduled performers include the following: Claudia Bartlett, Emeline Bartlett, Robbin Baughn, Bonnie Brown, Linda Burgess, Denise Bushong, Leigh Crume, Billy Elkins, Crystal Elkins, Beverly Chelgren, Kirby Chelgren, Janet Corum, Jeanette Ebelhar, Janet Estes, John Featherston, Melinda Francis, Maurice Hanley, Ellie Kline, Sam Koon, Rachel Kurz, Carroll Laswell, Leah McDivitt, Bob Meacham, Vicki Meacham, Nancy Muffett, Shannon Muffett, Allison Price, Scott Salyer, Christie Stumpf, Sr. Sharon Sullivan, Mike Tichenor, Chris Tolliver, Tom Troost, Tony Sparks, Philip Webster, Wendy Wells, Cailyn Westerfield, Jim Wilhoyte, Sarah Worth, and Mary Youngmann.
