OCTC's Workforce Solutions Offering Project Management Workshop

Owensboro, KY (03/19/2019) — Owensboro Community and Technical College's Workforce Solutions division will offer a Project Management Workshop on May 8- 9, 2019.
This workshop provides hands-on instruction in the fundamentals of project management. Participants will learn the five project management processes and nine knowledge areas in alignment with Project Management Institute (PMI) Standards. In small groups, participants will construct their own project scope and plan to promote understanding of the planning, tracking, and communication issues necessary for successful project management. This interactive workshop, which combines fundamentals and project development training, is designed to maximize the transfer of knowledge, understanding, and skills to the workplace.
This two-day, hands-on workshop will quality for 14 of the 35 instructional hours required for the PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification examination.
The Project Management Workshop will meet Wednesday, May 8, and Thursday, May 9, from 8:30am - 4:30pm. The workshop will be held in Room 8 of Owensboro Community and Technical College's Downtown Campus. Located at 1501 Frederica Street. The cost is $1,650 per person and includes all materials. Eligible Kentucky companies may qualify for KCTCS TRAINS funds to help cover some of the cost.
