Students attended Our Hope Is Not Yet Lost: A Primer on the History of Israel

Owensboro Area World Affairs Council Event Dr. Lee Prosser, Curator of Kensington Palace, will remotely present "Kensington Palace and the Modern British Monarchy", Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 11:00 am in Blandford Hall.

Students attended annual Owensboro's Multicultural Festival.

Student is participating in the OCTC Community Chorus directed by Dr. Connie Ford, Professor of Music. The chorus consists of community members, students, faculty and staff and was organized in the spring of 1987.

Kaitlynd participated in a volunteer opportunity with Audubon Area Community Services.

Students attended a public lecture with Assistant Special Agent in Charge Homeland Security Investigations, H. Ray Shuler. The lecture and discussion took place at the WKU Owensboro campus and was sponsored by the Owensboro World Affairs Council.

Students attended a public lecture with Charles Boteler, Former District & Circuit Judge of Hopkins County. The presentation: Religion's Role in Peacemaking: Israel & Palestine, was held at Brescia University and sponsored by the Owensboro World Affairs Council.

Students attended an Owensboro World Affairs Council presentation titled, "What's Wrong with the Global Economy?" This presentation was presented by Dr. Brian Atow, Professor for the Study of Capitalism at WKU.

Students attended an Owensboro World Affairs Council presentation titled, "Socialism: Fact Versus Fiction."

Congratulations to OCTC student Bar Jor, originally from Burma, for passing his citizenship test! His Intercultural Communications class celebrated with a ""suprise" cookie cake and well wishes! OCTC President Scott Williams stopped by to wish him well and join in on the fun!

Student participated in community service for the Owensboro community.

Students attended a presentation by OCTC's Dr. Court Lewis on "Forgiveness & The Role of Resentment in World Religion" on March 7, 2019.

Students attended an Owensboro World Affairs Council presentation titled, "Armstice Day + 100." This presentation was presented by Christopher Griffin

Students attended an Owensboro Area World Affairs Council presentation titled "To Impeach or Not to Impeach? Thtat is the Question." This presentation was held at Kentucky Wesleyan College and presented by Dr. Bill Conroy, former Professor of Political Science at KWC.

Students dontated blood to support the community at OCTC's Downtown Campus.

Students attended an Owensboro World Affairs Council event at Western Kentucky University Owensboro. Melissa Griffin, Quality Assurance Specialist at the Kentucky Climate Center, presented "Eyes to the Sky: Harnessing the Power of the Citizen Science Observer".

Students contributed to the Owensboro Help Office Food & More Drive - coordinated by OCTC's Student Government Association.

Students attended the Owensboro Area World Affairs Council free lecture featuring Greg Hodgin, Executive Director of Peacebuilding Solutions, on "Ozymandias: The Unnecessary Waste in International Humanitarian Aid" at Brescia University's Taylor Lecture Hall on Monday, February 26.

Student volunteered to help with the coordination and execution of the 2017 FIRST Lego League Regional Tournament held on OCTC's Main Campus.

Students attended the Owensboro Area World Affairs Council lecture by Anna & Daniel Kuthy, titled: "NATO's Yellow Brick Road." This event was held at Brescia University in Owensboro.

Students attended the Owensboro Area World Affairs Council lecture by Marko Dumancic, titled: "The Death of Multiculturalism?" This event was held at Western Kentucky University Owensboro.

Student attended the Owensboro College & Career Expo at the Owensboro Convention Center on Saturday, October 28. The event featured local colleges and universities, as well as area businesses.

Students attended the Owensboro Area World Affairs Council lecture by Mr. Morton Holbrook, III, titled: "US Foreign Policy Today."

Volunteered at the Kentucky FIRST Tech Challenge State Championship on Saturday, February 5, 2017. Over 20 teams participated in the event on OCTC's Main Campus.

Volunteered at the 2016 FIRST LEGO League event with twenty elementary and middle school teams participating. On the Main Campus, Saturday, December 3, 2016.

Students attended presentation hosted by the Owensboro World Affairs Council on Post - Election Analysis: Making sense of the changing electorate.

Attended It's Your Reality Fair on OCTC's Main Campus. This event featured community vendors helping students to prepare for life after college.
