Student attended OCTC Spring 2025 Career Fair.

Students participated in a dynamic Team Problem Solving workshop that challenged them to leverage their critical problem solving skills in a team environment. Students worked with a cross section of differing perspectives to overcome barriers to communication and coorperation. Career Services personnel guided the groups and shared strategies for success to maximize effectiveness.

Students participated in an engaging Time Management workshop that encouraged them to discuss and problem solve in groups to prioritize, organize, and communicate in real time to improve their effective use of the time they have and plan out their futures for the days, weeks, and months ahead to maximize this critical resource.

Members met at Hammer & Stain and painted ceramic Christmas trees.

Members participated in the University of Louisville's School of Nursing (Owensboro) open house, where they learned more details about the program's admission requirements, curriculum, and class sizes.

Students donated time on Novebmer 20th at the local animal shelter, assisting in walking dogs and interacting with cats.

This was an interactive financial literacy workshop. Participants created a weekly meal plan after looking at grocery ads. Then they completed a monthly budget, entering fixed and variable expencses, an their yearly salary based on their intended careers.

Students toured WKU and met with transfer representatives and TRiO staff.

Participants learned about the various types of credentials (certificates, diplomas, and degrees) as well as how to understand acacemic plans, credit hours, and how to use the KCTCS Catalog and Transfer Hub.

For a few hours, students volunteered at the local animal shelter.

Brock Peterson, Coordinator of the OCTC Criminal Justice program, informed participants about how to remain safe in various situations.

Dr. Micah Perkins led members through OCTC's Nature Center, explaining the various vegetation and inhabitants within the local ecosystem.
