Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC) had twelve students graduate with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Radiography in May. These students must also successfully pass a national professional licensure exam administered by American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in order to gain employment in the field. The students from OCTC achieved a 100% first time pass rate on the exam. The program has achieved a 100% first time pass rate in 10 of the past 11 years.

In addition to earning the 100% first time pass rate for theNational Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) National Certification Exam the OCTC students earned 1st place in April in the Howard Cup Scrub Bowl, answering 59/60 questions correctly. About Owensboro Community and Technical College

Owensboro Community & Technical College is a public, two-year, open admissions college accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and is one of the sixteen colleges that make up the Kentucky Community & Technical College System (KCTCS). The college values innovation, is focused on student learning, and is responsive to economic trends.  

Most OCTC students are from the counties of Daviess, Ohio, Hancock and McLean in Kentucky, but many others travel from elsewhere in Kentucky and southern Indiana.
