Elizabethtown Community & Technical College’s Tommy Puckett training with Kelly Lowry of Lowry Controls, on a new AMTEC Advanced Manufacturing System Simulator. ECTC is launching a new AMTEC pathway for students at their Springfield, KY campus, utilizing the simulator with AMTEC’s online curriculum. This innovative package through AMTEC, now housed through Owensboro Community & Technical College, allows instructors to implement a turn-key system that includes curriculum, labs, with pre and post assessments. The purchase of an AMTEC System simulator includes two days of onsite training for instructors, as well as a FANUC CERT certification for a faculty member.

About Owensboro Community and Technical College

Owensboro Community & Technical College is a public, two-year, open admissions college accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and is one of the sixteen colleges that make up the Kentucky Community & Technical College System (KCTCS). The college values innovation, is focused on student learning, and is responsive to economic trends.

Most OCTC students are from the counties of Daviess, Ohio, Hancock and McLean in Kentucky, but many others travel from elsewhere in Kentucky and southern Indiana.
