Kentucky was well representation at the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) Elevating Partnerships Conference held in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 13-15, 2019. Featured in the photo is Amanda Jerome of Daviess County Public Schools (DCPS), Dr. Stacy Edds-Ellis of Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC), Dr. Meredith Skaggs of OCTC, Donna Butler of Pearson, Nikki Wimpelberg of OCTC, Kelly Spaw of Apollo High School and Tres Pippin of Daviess County High School after they participated in a hike at Antelope Island State Park in Salt Lake City.      OCTC’s dual credit program is nationally accredited by NACEP. NACEP’s national conference is the premier destination to learn from and network with secondary and postsecondary concurrent and dual enrollment professionals across the nation.

Owensboro Community & Technical College’s (OCTC) President Dr. Scott Williams and Chief Institutional Officer Mike Rodgers joined fundraisers and presidents from all 16 colleges of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS), recently signing the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Code of Ethics pledge. They were joined by KCTCS President Jay K. Box and AFP President/CEO Mike Geiger along with KCTCS Resource Development Vice President Benjamin Mohler in Versailles.  ​

Learn more about this innovative program by attending any of the scheduled free information sessions on Tuesday, October 22, or Tuesday, November 19. The sessions will run from 5:30-7 p.m. in OCTC’s Industry Innovation Center located at 4800 New Hartford Road. TechX offers hands-on construction, fabrication, fitting, welding, and manufacturing training in a real-world, self-paced, industrial environment. Free student information sessions will be held: Tuesday, November 5 at 5:30 p.m., and Tuesday, December 3 at 5:30 p.m. Both sessions will be held at OCTC’s Downtown Campus, in room  #8, located at 1501 Frederica Street. Interested students should park in the back lot. Faculty and admissions staff will be on hand to tour the lab and answer questions.    The Construction FastTrack program is taking applications for students to begin in January. About Owensboro Community and Technical College

Owensboro Community & Technical College is a public, two-year, open admissions college accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and is one of the sixteen colleges that make up the Kentucky Community & Technical College System (KCTCS). The college values innovation, is focused on student learning, and is responsive to economic trends.  

Most OCTC students are from the counties of Daviess, Ohio, Hancock and McLean in Kentucky, but many others travel from elsewhere in Kentucky and southern Indiana. 

These Merit pages are used to celebrate the successes of our students and will serve them as an online portfolio of achievements.
