The OCTC Program Honor Student Awards are exemplary students nominated by faculty in the discipline area. The honor recipient for Computer & Information Technologies is Kenneth Burns. Kenneth graduated with an Associate in Applied Science in Computer & Information Technologies.

Each year the Owensboro Rotary Club recognizes outstanding local high school and college graduates through the Larry Hager Award. Ms. Kaylee Meador was selected as the 2018-19 graduate at a special Rotary Awards Luncheon this month. Students attended OAWAC's program featuring Dr. Aiyub Palmer on Sufism, April 16, 2019.

Students attended OCTC's Cornerstone Campus Ministry student group's presentation, "The Anatomy and Physiology of the Crucifixion" on April 17, 2019. The program was developed by Dr. Eddie Leach, program coordinator for Veterinary Technology and examines the act of crucifixion from a scientific perspective.

Congratulations to OCTC student Bar Jor, originally from Burma, for passing his citizenship test! His Intercultural Communications class celebrated with a ""suprise" cookie cake and well wishes! OCTC President Scott Williams stopped by to wish him well and join in on the fun!
