Students attended an Owensboro World Affairs Council event at Western Kentucky University Owensboro. Melissa Griffin, Quality Assurance Specialist at the Kentucky Climate Center, presented "Eyes to the Sky: Harnessing the Power of the Citizen Science Observer".

Students attended an event presented by OCTC faculty Dr. Eddie Leach. Dr. Leach discussed the anatomy and crucifixion of the cross in an engaging presentation, sponsored by Cornerstone Campus Ministry.

Students contributed to the Owensboro Help Office Food & More Drive - coordinated by OCTC's Student Government Association.

Research on "learned helplessness" shows that when people feel like they have no control over what happens, they tend to simply give up and accept their fate. Don't fall into that trap! Dr. Ed Morris will teach you ways to overcome learned helplessness.

Students attended a demonstration by Daviess County KY Search & Rescue teams featuring search and rescue dogs. This event was held on the Main Campus.

Recognized students are part of the team of OCTC faculty, staff and students that are building the 2018 Rover that will perform in the NASA Rover Challenge this Spring.

Students attended a workshop presented by Ronda Howard, Prevention Educator, at New Beginnings Sexual Assault Support Services Center in Owensboro. This workshop was about preventing bullying and providing bystander intervention.

Students attended the Owensboro Area World Affairs Council free lecture featuring Greg Hodgin, Executive Director of Peacebuilding Solutions, on "Ozymandias: The Unnecessary Waste in International Humanitarian Aid" at Brescia University's Taylor Lecture Hall on Monday, February 26.

Students attended a presentation by OCTC Alum, Bryan Gore and his wife Lichaun, regarding their life and the culture in China.

Students attended a panel discussion featuring women that are currently working in non-traditional occupations. Featured in the discussion were Rebecca Davis, Shannon Raymer, Brooklyn Maple and Tonia Brown.

Students attended the International Women's Day Presentation - "Eleanor Roosevelt: Redefining the Role of the First Lady," presented by Assistant Professor of History Matt Alschbach. Mr. Alschbach discussed the life of Eleanor Roosevelt and her role as First Lady of the United States of America.

Successfully completed the Oral, Topical and Parenteral (Injection) medication administration for the pediatric client during the clinical skill simulation.

Performed successfully the Pediatric IV Therapy Infusion Devices and IV Push Medication Administration in the simulation clinical skill

Student met with an advisor from the University of Louisville's Nursing Program to discuss transfer opportunities.

#YOUTOO is a community conversation about sexual assault, abuse and harrassment. This event was held at KWC's Rogers Hall and hosted by New Beginnings Sexual Assualt Center & Kentucky Wesleyan College.

Successful completion of the focused neurological assessment skill

Students attended a parenting workshop sponsored by the OCTC Counseling Center and River Vally Behavioral Health. The workshop, "Successful Parenting Using Choice Theory," helped to provide parents with tips on fine-tuning their parenting skills. Presenters included Michael Fulkerson, MAE, LPCC, CT/RTC & Mariah Castlen, C.S.W., M.S.S.

Students attended a presentation sponsored by the Owensboro Realtor Association to learn tips from the pros about home ownership.
