Attended the Domestic Violence Awareness Workshop co-hosted by WISE and OCTC's Counseling Center. The Daviess County Attorney's Office Domestic Violence Task Force presented this workshop.

"Real Life" exercise to assess a client presenting with clinical manifestations of schizophrenia, and the nursing actions of understanding the correct and therapeutic measure to assist client to de-escalate, and calm.

"Real Life" clinical scenario with client and clinical manifestations of alcohol withdrawal. Scenario involved therapeutic communication in the nursing interventions and plan of care with client.

Students attended the Owensboro Area World Affairs Council lecture by Anna & Daniel Kuthy, titled: "NATO's Yellow Brick Road." This event was held at Brescia University in Owensboro.

Student successfully completed critical criteria for focused abdominal assessment.

Met with a representative from the University of Kentucky to discuss transfer opportunitites.

Students attended a presentation by Dr. Corie M. Martin, Director, Web Services & Digital Marketing at WKU, regarding social networking and the online identity. The event was sponsored by the OCTC Common Reading Committee.

The academic plan is your roadmap while at college. It is broken down into a variety of categories of courses that a student needs to complete in order to earn a degree. In this workshop, we will explain the various categories, clarify the types of courses that will fullfill the requirements, and demonstrate how to navigate the KCTCS Catalog.

Students attended and participated in the OCTC/United Way Halloween fundraising event on the Main Campus. This annual event is a just one of the many ways Owensboro Community & Technical College faculty, staff and students give back to the Owensboro community.

Successful Completion of Injectable Medications Skill

Student attended the Manufacturing Month Celebration in OCTC's Advanced Technology Center. The Division of Professional and Technical Studies held a reception that celebrated Kentucky's Manufacturing Month. OCTC is proud to offer manufacturing programs to our students, the Owensboro community and the workforce.

Attended the Student Government Association's Fall Fling, held on OCTC's Main Campus. Fling is an event held each semester to help raise money for student organizations and clubs, as well as introduce different resources that are offered through OCTC.

Students attended the Dynamic Leadership Institute (Phase 2): Leadership Development, presented by David Powers, Career & Workforce Development Coordinator for Western Kentucky University Owensboro. This is a three phase process.

Student attended the Owensboro College & Career Expo at the Owensboro Convention Center on Saturday, October 28. The event featured local colleges and universities, as well as area businesses.

Attended the 4-Year College and University Transfer Fair sponsored by TRAC Central on the Main Campus, October 3, 2017. Representatives from over twelve different universities and colleges spoke with students about transfer opportunities.
